Matthew W. Maxwell was educated in St. Clairsville, and Canfield schools.  During high school he worked in an area funeral home. In January 2003 he graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with a diploma in Funeral Directing and Embalming and that September with an Associate in Specialized Business.  In May of 2004 he received a Bachelors of Science in Professional Studies in Funeral Service from Point Park University in Pittsburgh.

During his years in mortuary school he lived at and worked at a funeral home in Pittsburgh where he later served his internship before receiving his Pennsylvania Funeral Directors and Embalming license. He is a member of the Allegheny County Funeral Directors Association.

In 2005 he joined the Becker Funeral Homes.  Matt lives in Struthers.In addition to Pennsylvania, he holds Ohio Funeral Directors and Embalming and Pre Need Insurance licenses.
