Alma M. Macaulay

Boardman - Alma M. Macaulay, 87, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2015 at the Hospice House after a long illness.
Mrs. Macaulay was born on October 27, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Ethel Chubbs Hill.
She was a 1946 graduate of Boardman High School. Mrs. Macaulay worked in the Invoicing Department at Truscon Steel, which later became LTV, retiring after 31 years, and enjoyed her retirement years.
Alma was a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church in Canfield.
Mrs. Macaulay was an avid bowler, enjoyed movies of her generations, and loved dogs, especially her dachshund named Reason Why.
Her husband and love of her life, Paul Macaulay, whom she married September 10, 1960, preceded her in death on September 16, 1989. She is survived by many nieces and nephews from both sides of her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alma was preceded in death by her brother, William Hill Jr.; a niece, Shirlee Hill; and a nephew, James Hill.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Rd., Canfield. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
The family suggests that any memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Macaulay's name to the Western Reserve United Methodist Church Fund, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406 or to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
The family would like to thank special friends, Katie Herald and Karen Clark, and the Hospice House for all the care and support given to Alma.
