Betty Jane Grow

Poland - Betty Jane Grow, 90, died October 10, 2014 at Hospice House.
Mrs. Grow was born June 29, 1924 in Struthers, OH, daughter of Perl and Mable Rohrbaugh Barnett.

She was a 1942 Struthers High School graduate. Betty worked as an Inspector for General Electric for 40 years.
She was a member of Struthers United Methodist Church for 81 years.

Her husband, William, whom she married March 27, 1954, died in 1984.

She is survived by one step-daughter, Martha (George) Gerak of Struthers one; step-granddaughter, Kim; one sister, Mary Louise Balogh of Youngstown; one brother, Jim (Diana) Barnett of Cincinnati; four nieces, Joyce (Ray) Fox of Hubbard; and Cathy (Charles) Mitchell of Washington and their children James and Charles Mitchell; Evelyn (Butch) Mihin and family and Barb (Dave) Bebe and family; two nephews, Scott (Krista) Barnett and their children, Grant, Grace, and Grayson all of Cincinnati; and James (Brenda) Barnett and their children, Ryan and Adam all of Columbus; and sister-in-law, Helen Mohr. She also leaves Mary Ellen Mohr and family.


Besides her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Raymond, Donald Barnett, and Albert Mohr; nephew, Albert Mohr Jr.

A memorial service will be held at Struthers United Methodist Church, Monday at 5:00 PM with Pastor Doug Theobald officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home Struthers.
