Bill "Mr. Bill" Sheldon

August 10, 1953 — October 22, 2014

Bill Sheldon (Mr. Bill)
YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be held Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the
Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman for Bill Sheldon, 61. He passed away
Wednesday morning.
Mr. Sheldon was brought into this world in 1953 in Youngstown. He was the
son of William and Marie (Steele) Sheldon.
He had worked as a press operator for G.F. for 20 years. He recently worked
as a custodian for Austintown Schools for 20 years, where he was
affectionately known as "Mr. Bill".
Bill was an avid outdoorsman and a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. He also
liked the Pittsburgh Pirates, Ohio State, and Nascar racing. He had attended
many games and races in his lifetime.
Surviving him are his loving wife, the former Janet Moschella, whom he
married in 1980. His children, Richard J. (Karen) Hedrick of Canfield,
Jerilynn (Dennis) Timms of Struthers, and Michael D. (Tracey) Hedrick Sr. of
Austintown; two sisters, Susan (Rev. Michael) McHale of Austintown, and
Sherry Merola of Kingwood, Texas; and a brother, George Kluchar of Liberty.
Also, his five grandchildren who he was totally devoted to, Zachary and
Shelby Timms, Alyssa Lynn, Michael D. Jr, and Richard Hedrick; nephews
Michael and Matthew (fiancé Deanna Hawk) McHale, Ronald (Kari) and John
(Cheryl) Novak; great-nephew Billy Novak; and his devoted beagle, Sammy.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was always
willing to lend a helping hand and never complained about anyone or
anything. He was a loving, caring a strong-willed family man. He never
passed up a chance to spend time with them. He most recently traveled to
Florida, where you could find him in the early morning hours fishing in the
ocean, trying for the "huge" catch of the day. He also got to travel out
West to the casinos of Las Vegas. He was especially happy when the Browns
won the last game that they played against the Steelers.
How do you sum up such a wonderful man¹s life in a few paragraphs? Devoted
family man, unique, a loving husband, brother, grandpa (Papa), father,
uncle, caring, funny, green thumb, cook, baker, soup maker, animal lover,
traveler, strong, determined, a ray of sunshine, faithful, provider,
fisherman, hunter, friend to many, and an unlucky gambler (ha-ha).
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marian Kluchar.
Officiating will be Dr. Bradley Call of Coshocton and the Rev. Michael
McHale.
Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m., and on Monday from noon
to 12:45 p.m., both at the funeral home.
