Dominic Edward Carcelli

June 2, 1945 — February 12, 2015

Struthers - Dominic Edward Carcelli, 69, died Thursday, February 12, 2015 at his son's home in Chicago.

Mr. Carcelli, affectionately known as Eddie, was born in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Florence Aline Davis Carcelli.

He was a 1963 graduate of Struthers High School and received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Mount Union College in 1967.

Mr. Carcelli worked as an Assistant Compliance Director for WRP Investments.

Eddie was a truthful, loyal and hard-working person. He lived his life with an easy dignity and it reflected on everyone he met. In school, he excelled not only in academics but also in football at Struthers High School and Mount Union College. He continued to apply that determination and effort to succeed in all that he did, whether as a husband, father, brother, friend or co-worker. He especially loved being a grandfather to his three grandsons and they will always remember the positive influence he had on each of them.

His beloved wife of 50 years, Sharan Lynn Carcelli, whom he married December 19, 1963, preceded him in death on April 25, 2014. He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Allison) Carcelli of Ladera Ranch, CA and Todd (Irene) Carcelli of Chicago; daughter, Kristin (Jeff) Warren of Huntington Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Dominic, Bison, and Orson Carcelli; and a sister, Luigina (Larry) Barnhart of Palmetto, FL.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Carcelli was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Carcelli.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers.
