Struthers - Lois J. Collingwood, 85, of Struthers, died Sunday afternoon, December 21, 2014 in Northside Medical Center Valley Care.

Lois, affectionately known as Joey, was born October 2, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles and Loretta Hartung Hevel. She was raised in Struthers by her Aunt Bertha McManus.

Lois was a homemaker and also worked as a candymaker for Giannios Candy. She retired in 1997 after 15 years of service. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter Joyce, puzzle making, and slots. She loved country music and her favorite country artists were George Strait and the Statler Brothers. Lois was a member of the former Struthers Presbyterian Church.

Lois' husband of 47 years, Charles "Ookie" Collingwood, whom she married August 20, 1949, died July 8, 1996; she leaves her daughter, Joyce L. Collingwood at home; one sister, Marilyn Bishof of Arnold, PA; one brother, Charles Hevel of Cumberland, MD; her sister-in-law Rita Collingwood of Poland; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loyal four legged friend, her dog, Shelby.

Besides her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death her son, Randy Collingwood; her Aunt Bertha McManus; and her cousin, who was like a sister, Mary McManus.

Joyce would like to express her sincere appreciation for the ever ending support of her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers with Chaplain Chris Yambar officiating. Interment will follow Monday at the Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.

Family and friends will be received Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the funeral home.
