Barbara C. Schrock

Poland- Barbara C. Schrock, 93, died Tuesday evening, January 23, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Barbara was born March 24, 1924 in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude Austin Clayton.

She was a 1942 graduate of Hubbard High School and attended Youngstown College, majoring in accounting. Mrs. Schrock worked as an accountant for H&R Block for over 20 years.

Since 1958, Barbara was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Friends of the Poland Library and Poland Garden Club. In her earlier years, Barbara enjoyed golfing and playing bridge with friends.

Her husband, George Schrock, whom she married June 16, 1945, preceded her in death on July 13, 2004. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Bonnie) Schrock of Lodi, CA and David (Bill Jaume) Schrock of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Nancy Ewing formerly of Solon, OH; three grandsons, Eric (Christy) Schrock of Sacramento, CA, Clayton Schrock of Cranston, Rhode Island, and Keith Schrock of Lodi, CA; three great-grandchildren, Aaron Schrock, Samantha Schrock and Aubrey Gleason; and a great-great-grandchild, Everett Gleason.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor. Family and friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in Mrs. Schrock's name to the Friends of the Poland Library, c/o Development Department of Public Library of Youngstown, Poland Branch, 305 Wick Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44503.

The family would like to express their appreciation and thank her caretaker Chris Haul-Riehl for the wonderful care she gave to Barbara.
