Green Township-Cynthia Bishop of Green Township fought to the end of her full and productive life with the same passion and grace she brought to raising her two daughters Dominique Bishop of Canfield and Alexis Bishop of Lakewood and to her 29 year marriage to her high school sweetheart Douglas Bishop.
Cindi passed away from cancer on April 25 in her home surrounded by her close knit family. A 1982 Graduate of Ursuline High School, Cynthia devoted her life to helping others. She graduated St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing and from Youngstown State University with a RN and Masters Degree in Nursing. She worked as a nurse at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and served as the Director of Surgical and Perioperative Services for Mercy Health and was a Board Certified Nurse Executive.
Cynthia is also survived by her parents H. Dean and Patricia Clingerman of Youngstown, her sisters Deanna Clingerman of Tallmadge and Kathleen Clingerman Dann (Marc) of Lakewood, her brother Dean Robert (Jody) Clingerman of Girard, and Bailey and Max the loyal family pets. Cindi is also survived by her best friend Diane Fusco who was at her side in good times and bad and stood side by side with her in her most recent battle with cancer.
Cindi was a painter who primarily worked in watercolors, she loved the beach and was an avid reader but was most at home in the day to day parenting of her daughters from the cheerleading sidelines to the homework table and enjoying the home that she shared with her husband Doug.
