Youngstown - Jodie L. Makosky, 58, died Monday, June 3, 2019 at Ohio Living Park Vista.
Jodie was born December 7, 1960 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of Ronald and Judith (Llewellyn) Rowe.
Raised in New Castle, she was a 1978 graduate of Laurel High School. Mrs. Makosky worked as caretaker for the elderly and as a cafeteria worker for St. Matthias and Cardinal Mooney Schools. She also loved her role of being a homemaker, wife, and mother and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Mrs. Makosky was a former member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church. Jodie a huge heart for animals and was a member of the Pekingese Club of America. In her free time, she enjoyed helping with small breed rescue.
Jodie is survived by her father and step-mother, Ronald and Jane Rowe of Poland and her mother Judith Rowe of Boardman; her husband, Joseph Makosky, whom she married June 9, 1989; her son, Justin Makosky of Cleveland; a sister, Nicole (Mark) Holt of Boardman; and three brothers, Michael Rowe of Ohio, Mark (Tiffany) Rowe of Boardman, and Ronald (Linda) Rowe of Poland.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, 915 Cornell St., Youngstown, with Fr. John Jerek officiating.
