POLAND Kathleen Roberts, 63, died March 2, 2014, in Washington, D.C. in loving company of her family.
Kathy was born Jan. 15, 1951, in Youngstown, a daughter of Walter and Margaret Nicholson.
Above all else, Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She spent her life selflessly taking care of others. She always had a smile on her face and brought comfort and happiness to everyone she met. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she cherished every second she had with each of her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Shannon Dunn, her husband, Robert Dunn and their two children, Sela Dunn and Alexander Dunn of Washington, D.C.; her son, Benjamin Roberts, his wife, Christine Roberts and their two sons, Owen Roberts and Cooper Roberts of Alexandria, Va.; her son, Jason Roberts and his wife, Callie Roberts of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Mary Brown of Oriental, N.C. and Patricia McFarland of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a brother, Walter Nicholson Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Ean Roberts.
A prayer service will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church.
Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
