Claire Lucille Heid-Geiger Dovich

Claire Lucille Heid-Geiger Dovich, 87 Lowellville- Claire Lucille Dovich, 87, of 69 West Walnut Street died Thursday morning at Liberty Health Care. Mrs. Dovich was born February 24, 1915 in Lowellville, a daughter of the late Frederick G. and Estella A. Geiger Heid. She was a life-long area resident. She graduated from Latrobe High School and went on to earn a business degree. Mrs. Dovich was a housekeeper for both St. Brendans and Holy Rosary Church for many years. She was a homemaker and gardrner. She was an active member of Holy Rosary Church for six decades where she was a lector and a member of the Altar and Rosary Guild. An avid gardener, Claire was one of the founding members of the Lowellville Garden Club. She was the recipient of numerous blue ribbons. Claire was known for her correspondence with people all over the world. Her husband Robert E. Dovich whom she married June 22, 1936 died June 11, 1984. She leaves one daughter, Beverly and son-in-law James A. Patrick of Hubbard; two sons, Robert F. and daughter-in-law Jean Dovich of Lowellville and James L. and daughter-in-law Mary Dovich of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; one daughter-in-law Kathi Dovich of Indianapolis, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grand-children. Preceding her in death is a son, G. Ronald Dovich, a brother Frederick Heid and two infant sisters. Funeral Services will be Monday 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Church. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
