Goldie Ann Strong

Goldie Ann (Moore) Strong, 69, of Struthers, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, on Monday, April 1, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Goldie was born on September 1, 1954, in Rome, Georgia. She was a daughter of the late Ralph “Blue” and Ola Mae (Minter) Moore.

She graduated from Riverdale High School and went on to marry and start a family with the late John Michael Strong on November 12, 1972. Goldie worked various jobs in her life including the Silver Mirror Restaurant and as a manager at Schwebel’s thrift bakery. She was of the Christian faith.

She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren’s many sporting events. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Music was one thing she never got tired of. She enjoyed singing karaoke and enjoyed any type of music. She always loved a good party and showing off her witty sense of humor with her family and friends, always up for a good laugh.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her four daughters, Bonnie (Michael Gay) Strong, of Coitsville, Wendy Mileto, of Struthers, Carrie Thompson, of Pittsburgh, and Julie Strong, of Struthers; her nine grandchildren, Vincent (Torri), Brandon (Alexis), Rocky, Larry, Brian (Julia), Nicolette, Christopher, Livia, and Aaliyah; her seven great-grandchildren, Gianna, Maliah, Skailar, Athan, Estella, Xavier and Mia; her brothers Jimmy Moore, of Georgia and Stevie Moore, of California; sister, Tina Moore, of Oklahoma; as well as her fur babies, Peter and Lolly.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024,  from 4:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers.
