Helen M. Hope, 87 STRUTHERS- Helen M. Hope, 87of Maplecrest Nursing Home died Monday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mrs. Hope was born in Sharon November 15, 1915, a daughter of Theodore and Hannah Williams Nehlen. She moved to the area from Sharon in 1936. She was a 1932 graduate of Brookfield High School. She worked as a cook at a coffee shop at Sears Roebuck, retiring in 1962. She was a member of the Struthers Presbyterian Church. Her husband, James Patrick, whom she married June 28, 1935, died March 25, 1969. She leaves two daughters, Sally Birch of New Springfield and Joyce Wiechelman of Chillicothe, OH; one son, James T. (Barbara) Hope of Boardman; seven grandchildren., Richard, James, and Susan Birch, Linda Mountford, Kathy Mason, Terry Sumner,a nd Ted Wiechelman; and four great-grandchildren, Kristen, Patrick, and Lauren Birch, and Courtney Mountford. She was preceded in death three sisters, Mary Orndorf, Dorothy Winners, and Gertrude Nehlen; and three brothers, John, Paul, and James Nehlen. Funeral Services will be Friday 4:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where friends may call from 2:00- 3:45 PM.
