Helen Williams

Helen Williams, 93 NORTH LIMA- Helen Williams, 93, of Glenellen Nursing Home, formerly of Poland, died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center of a stroke. She was born in Poland on September 4, 1909, a daughter of John and Emma Shipton Rogers. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Williams was a 1921 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. She worked in the cafeteria at North Elementary School in Poland for 20 years. She was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. Her husband, Russell Williams Sr., whom she married in 1924, died July 2, 1970. She leaves three sons, Rev. Russell (Lois) Williams of Huntsville,OH., Robert(Barbara) Williams of Austintown, and Don (Virginia) Williams of Boardman; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, two sisters, Bess Kennedy and Ruth Rogers; and two brothers William and Paul Rogers preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 2:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where friends may call from 1:00-1:45 PM.
