John Cikovich

John Cikovich, 77 Youngstown- John Cikovich, 77, of 37 West Oakland Avenue, Struthers died early Tuesday morning at Forum Northside Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1925 in Struthers to Frank and Mary Rubesa Cikovich, and was a Lifelong area resident. Mr Cikovich attended Struthers High School, earning his diploma in the Army, he later attended Woodbury College in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Cikovich was a U.S. Army Airforce veteran of World War II, serving on the Island of Guam. He was a self-employed brick mason for 35 years retiring in 1983. A member of St. Michael Bytzantine Catholic Church, in Campbell, and also a member of the Struthers VFW, Post 3538. Besides his wife the former Margaret Mingo, whom he married January 24, 1948, he leaves a son Frank B. (Sheri) Cikovich of Struthers; one daughter: Maryann (John) Dennis of Shreveport, LA; and one sister: Jennie Zelinka of Lowellville. He is preceded in death by two brothers: Ernest and Frank Cikovich. No Calling Hours or Services will be observed. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
