Josephine M. Caruso, 80

Girard - Josephine M. Caruso, 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Sharon Regional Hospital in PA, surrounded by her loving family.

Josephine, known by her family and friends as "Jo," was born August 29, 1941 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of the late George and Josephine (Tonti) Beck.

She attended East High School in Youngstown and was a lifelong area resident.

Jo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and homemaker. She enjoyed baking for family and friends, making crafts. and was an avid Bingo player.

Jo is survived by her son, James P. (Karen) Caruso, III of Youngstown;  her daughter, Jody A. (Dean) Clingerman of Girard; five grandchildren, Dean Clingerman, Jr., Carina Caruso, Jacob Clingerman, James K. Caruso, and Kyle Clingerman; two sisters, Jean Snyder of Buena Park, CA, and Jane Jones of Pompano Beach, FL.

Besides her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Caruso, Jr, whom she married November 5, 1962 and died May 2, 2009; a  brother, George Beck, Jr., and her sister, Mary Lotz.

Per Jo's request, private funeral services were held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street in Boardman with Deacon Paul Lisko officiating.  Interment was held at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
