Michael Joseph Benzenhoefer

Struthers - Michael Joseph Benzenhoefer, 59, passed away on July 6, 2024 surrounded by his family. 

He was born June 5, 1965 in South Wales in Great Britain, a son of the late Ronald and Johanna (Dravecsky) Benzenhoefer. He graduated from Lowellville High School and continued his education to become a master electrician. He worked as a journeyman for Enertech until his retirement in 2019. 

He was a lovable tattooed grump that was unapologetically himself and did not care what others thought about it. He would help anyone in need and never expected anything in return. Opinionated and as stubborn as a mule, he was the ultimate family protector. He loved his family with every ounce of his being and was a force to be reckoned with. He loved music, camping in his younger days, was a biker with attitude, Mountain Dew Code Red fanatic, and a CB/HAM radio fan (Wildman-KC8OYX). And let's not forget his pride and joy: a 1985 Cougar with a 528 Big Block that roared louder than his opinions.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Jena and Marisa Benzenhoefer, both of Struthers; grandchildren, Vinnie, Brian Michael, and Jace; his siblings, Ronnie "Dirtbag" (Debbie) Benzenhoefer of Struthers and BeckyJo Benzenhoefer of Youngstown; his nieces and nephew, Felicia Moss, Andrew and Ashley Benzenhoefer; as well as many friends (who may or may not have owed him money- you know who you are). 

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Timothy Conzett Jr.

Friends will be received 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, followed immediately by a celebration of his life beginning at 7:00 p.m.
