Ronald D. Round

Poland - Ronald D. Round, 89, of Poland, passed away April 28, 2024 at Greenbriar Healthcare Center surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was born March 30, 1935 in Youngstown, and was the son of the late  Leonard Earle and Catherine (Welker) Round.

A 1953 graduate of Boardman High School, Ronald was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and worked for many years as a Union Baker for Giant Eagle. A car enthusiast, Ronald was always eager to go to the classic car shows. You could often find him tending to his beautifully landscaped yard and planting an array of flowers. 

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Mary Romo, whom he married on February 15, 1958; two sons, Scott (Judi) Round and Terry (Colleen) Round; granddaughter, Amber (Dave) Desantis; and great-grandchildren, Santino and Angelina Desantis; and his many cousins who were like siblings to him. 

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.  Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery. 

The family would like to express a huge thank you to the staff at Greenbriar as well as the nurses from Southern Care Hospice for their wonderful care of Ronald during this time.
