Poland -Sharlene K. Bucher, 59, of Poland, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Bucher, whom she married on September 9, 1989.

Born September 30, 1964, in Youngstown, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Soltez) Molnar.

Sharlene was a graduate of Springfield High School. She went on to earn her diploma at St. Elizabeth school of Nursing. One who had a heart and love for her career, she went back to school and obtained a Master's Degree from the University of Akron where she would then adhere to the title of Nurse Anesthetist. Sharlene worked for many years in the nursing field, carrying on a legacy of the tender love and care she displayed to each patient for whom she cared.

Apart from her nursing career, Sharlene cherished her family most of all and took great pride in being a loving wife, mom, and grandma. You could often find her in her kitchen cooking and baking her famous recipes. She specialized in Hungarian recipes that were passed down from her mother. Cheesecake, kiffles, kolache, and bread, were a few of the many delectable dishes she often made for her family. Sharlene had a passion for hosting and decorating for the holidays. She was always up for a good game of Solitaire or Rummy and enjoyed their family vacations at the beaches in Florida. Her ambitious, loving, and caring personality made her a wonderful role model to her family and all who have known her.

In addition to her husband, she leaves to treasure her memory, her daughters, Marissa (Joseph) Petcovic, of Macedonia and Melinda (Preston) Epling, of Solon; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Amelia, and Remington; brothers, Richard Molar, Robert (Sue) Molnar and John (Katie) Molnar; and sister, Brenda (Kenneth) Gold.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; Gary Molnar and sisters-in-law, Patty Molnar and Jill Molnar.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. and on Friday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Parish, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Sharlene’s name to the Womenheart foundation, www.womenheart.org.
