Sonia Mackall Mounsey

Sonia Mackall Mounsey, 75 Youngstown- Sonia Mackall Mounsey, 75, of Youngstown, died Saturday morning in her home after an extended illness. She was born February 9, 1927, in Brookfield to Cleaver and Gladys Spaite Mackall. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1945 graduate of Struthers High School and attended Kent State University. Mrs. Mounsey attended the Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. An avid flower gardener, she enjoyed reading and poetry. Besides her husband Frank Mounsey, whom she married May 17, 1947, she leaves one daughter: Marilyn (Brian) Williams of Boardman; two sons: Donald K. (Lenore) of Amhearst; and John L. (Deborah) of Girard; two sisters: Wilma Connelly of Austintown; Shirley Boulton of Boardman; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchldren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Janice Perry; one granddaughter: Shannon Williams; two sisters: Mabel Lewis; an infant sister Gladys; and a brother: Bob Mackall. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and again on Wednesday from 10-10:45 AM, prior to the service.
