Stacie Erin Hunter

November 8, 1972 — January 8, 2024

Crossville, Tennessee

Stacie Erin Hunter passed away unexpectedly of pneumonia on January 8, 2024, at Park Ridge Health System in Chattanooga, TN. She was an organ donor.

Throughout her adult years, Stacie fought courageously battling both lipidemia and cancer. She looked to her Savior for strength in her illnesses.

Stacie was born November 8, 1972, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Richard and Karen Bolha Hunter.

She graduated from Struthers High School in 1991 and went on to attend Mahoning County Joint Vocational School and its’ Medical Assistant Program. She worked for Dr. Michael Evan and Dr. Michael Black prior to moving to Mississippi with her young son, Ryan.

Stacie and Ryan later moved to Crossville, Tennessee, where her daughter, Hannah, was born. Stacie was a loving mother and generously gave her time to taking care of families in need.

She leaves her momma, Karen Hunter of Struthers; her children, Ryan Hunter, and Hannah Cress, both of Tennessee; granddaughter, Collette; brother, Erik (Melissa) Hunter of Columbus; niece and nephew, Caitlyn and Zachary; great-nephew, Donovan; aunts, Doreen (John) Eperjesi, Kathy (Bob) Dean, Claudia (Gordy) Frame, and Joyce Joyce; Grandma Dean; and numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Stacie was preceded in death by her father, Richard Hunter; paternal grandparents; Clarence and Ellen Hunter; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Pauline Bolha; and aunt and uncle, Carole and Howard Young.

Stacie lit up a room with her infectious laugh and constant giggling. She held dear to her heart, being a Wildcat, Belleria, picking fruit at White House Fruit Farm, picnics and fireworks, corny jokes, playing games, shopping with her mom, haunted houses, family vacations to Cedar Point, Kennywood, and later, Splash Country and Dollywood, country music, and Hallmark movies. Stacie loved to paint and sketch and won awards for her artistic talent.

A loving mother, Stacie, was affectionately called “Ethel” by Ryan and Hannah, and “Nana” by her granddaughter, Collette. With her children, Stacie loved baking Christmas cookies and stromboli, sitting on the deck as she watched her kids swim, and with Collette, practicing songs for church.

Stacie will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature. When faced with her disabilities, her family always came first. She was a loving daughter, sister, and mother, and a loyal and caring friend. Stacie’s world was her family.

A private family service was held Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Local arrangements are by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
