North Lima

North Lima - Vivian M. Armstrong, 88, passed away on November 18, 2023 at Austintown Health Care Center.

She was born August 6, 1935 in Sharon, PA, daughter of the late Carl and Velma (Bixler) Palmer. She graduated from Sharon High School.

Vivian dedicated her life and love to her family. She would do anything for anyone and would move heaven and earth to make it happen. Her cinnamon rolls were her absolute specialty, and not even Cinnabon could rival them. She prided herself on being thrifty and enjoyed visiting the local Goodwill, Salvation Army, and 4-Seasons Flea Market. In her spare time, she enjoyed word search puzzles and playing bingo.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Colleen Imel of North Lima, Susan Groves of Lowellville, Bill (Tina) Armstrong of North Lima, and David Hassler of Canton; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Armstrong; her children, Lucille Bowdish, Carl Hassler, and Jim Hassler; son-in-law, Bob Imel; and sister, Velma Palmer.

Per Vivian's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. She will be cremated and laid to rest with her husband at Brookfield Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Austintown Health Care Center for their compassionate care of Vivian in her time of need.
