Anthony L. DeGeorge, 85

North Lima: Anthony L. DeGeorge, 85, of North Lima, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2019 at Mercy Health at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center surrounded by his family.

Anthony was born June 28, 1934 in Bannock, Ohio, son of the late Tony and Catherine (Spano) DeGeorge.

After high school, Anthony worked several jobs, he was an ice cream maker, a shoe repairman and worked for Republic Steel. After serving in the Army, he worked for Ohio Bell, AT & T and Lucent Technologies for 26 years, before retiring in 1987 as a supply clerk.

Anthony is survived by two sons, Michael A. DeGeorge of North Lima, and Robert D. DeGeorge of Farmington Hills, MI; a brother, Louis, two sisters, Rosemary and Lydia, both of Youngstown.

Besides his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, the former Deanna S. Slipkasky, whom she married September 2, 1966, died October 7, 2017; a brother, Eugene and two sisters, Josephine and Nancy.

Per Anthony's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street in Boardman.
